Presentation Title:

Combined protocol for the treatment of androgenic alopecia using photodynamic therapy and exosomes from Damask rose stem cells

Abstract

In contemporary trichological practice, the effective and safe management of androgenetic alopecia, as well as the maintenance of longterm remission, remains a pressing issue for dermatovenereologists. Despite well-established treatment protocols incorporating both pharmacological and injectable methods, the overall satisfaction with therapy among both patients and practitioners is not always optimal.

Low patient compliance is commonly observed due to the prolonged therapy duration, further compounded by concerns regarding disease exacerbation upon discontinuation of treatment. Therefore, the implementation of combined treatment tactics has become particularly relevant, as such approaches can achieve clinically significant synergistic effects while also reducing the total duration of therapy.

This article presents a case study concerning the treatment of female-pattern androgenetic alopecia using a combined protocol that includes photodynamic therapy, RF-microneedling and topical application of exosomes derived from Damask rose stem cells. The pathophysiological mechanisms underlying these interventions are discussed, as well as the potential integration of these methods into standard care algorithms.
